I was working part-time with the City of Oxford my senior year in high school. After graduation, I continued to work for the City until my retirement 31 years later. It was the only job I ever had.
My husband, Gene, and I have been married 36 years. Gene was employed with the State and then the University of Mississippi for 31 years. We have been enjoying retirement together for the past nine years.
We have one daughter, Cindi, who just turned 35, and she lives and works in the Birmingham area.
A year after we were married, we built a home in College Hill, and to this day we still enjoy living in College Hill.
I still enjoy singing and playing the piano at North Oxford Baptist Church where I have been a member for 54 years.
